Jill Stein and Gary Johnson likely (cannot say with certainty of course, but what if they had campaigned for Hillary?) gave Trump the boost he needed to overcome Hillary, following in Ralph Nader’s tradition of helping to elect Republicans.
- if 10% of Gary Johnson voters in Michigan had voted for Hillary, she would have won Michigan.
- if 15% of Gary Johnson voters in Florida had voted for Hillary, she would have won Florida.
- And that would have made Hillary president.
Once again, the Dems win the popular vote (as of now) and the GOP gets the presidency anyway. The people in our least populated states have their votes count 3 times as much as a citizen of California in the Electoral College. And that’s just enough to tip the scales to them, with the help of Gary Johnson.
